Wrap Town is at 1175 Crawford Avenue #1 in Windsor, Ontario. The studio is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed on Sunday.

Work is carried out indoors in a controlled studio rather than outside, which is what keeps dust and weather out of a finish.

Window tinting starts from $45 and paint protection film starts from $399. The final price depends on the vehicle, how many windows or panels you cover, and the film you choose.

Ontario does not set a tint percentage in law. Section 73(3) of the Highway Traffic Act prohibits driving with a windshield, or either front window beside the driver, coated with material that substantially obscures the interior of the vehicle — a judgement made by the officer at the roadside, not a number. Windows behind the driver are not covered by that section, which is why rear glass can go much darker.

Separately, the provincial inspection standard for vehicles built on or after January 1, 2017 expects aftermarket film on side windows to let through about 70% of light and permits none on the windshield. Passing that inspection is not the same as satisfying section 73(3). We will walk you through both before any film is cut, and we do not fit windshield tint.

A wrap is a reversible finish. Quality film applied to sound factory paint and removed properly protects the surface underneath rather than harming it.

Paint that is already failing, resprayed or previously repaired is the exception, and we will say so during the consultation rather than after the fact.

Paint protection film is a thick, nearly invisible layer that defends high-impact areas against rock chips and scratches. Ceramic coating is a thin hydrophobic layer that adds gloss, resists contamination and makes washing easier — but it does not stop stone chips.

They solve different problems and are often combined: film on the leading edges that take the hits, coating across the rest of the car.

It depends on the service and coverage — a few windows is a far shorter job than a full colour change. We confirm the exact window when we approve your booking, and your confirmation email shows the start and end time reserved for your vehicle.
